Trash the Dress – Questions & Answers

What’s the story behind the Trash the Dress tradition?

The Trash the Dress concept started as a way to break from tradition—showing that your wedding dress doesn't have to be worn just once. It's a celebration of love after the big day, often in unexpected places or wild conditions. It's your moment to be playful, bold, and free—without worrying about keeping the dress pristine.

What is a Trash the Dress session?

It’s a relaxed, creative photo session after your wedding day where you get to wear your wedding outfit again—without the pressure or schedule of the big day. My goal is to create a fun experience that reflects *you*. Whether you want something romantic, adventurous, or playful, we’ll tailor the shoot to fit your style. You can bring props, try bold ideas, or keep it natural—we follow your vibe, and I’ll step in with suggestions if needed. Most importantly, you'll walk away with unforgettable memories and photos you’ll truly cherish.

Will my dress be ruined?

Not necessarily! The name can sound extreme, but 'Trash the Dress' is really about freedom and creativity, not destruction. Some couples get their outfits wet, muddy, or covered in color—but it’s totally up to you. We’ll talk about what you're comfortable with and plan a session around your limits. Whether you want something bold or keep it light and clean, I’ll make sure it still feels like an adventure you’ll love.

Where do Trash the Dress sessions take place?

These sessions are all about creativity, so locations vary! Some couples choose nature—like lakes, forests, or open fields—others prefer urban streets, abandoned buildings, or somewhere that means something personal. I’m happy to suggest locations around Landsberg am Lech or travel to a spot that fits your vision.

Do we need to bring anything special?

Just your wedding outfits and a good mood! Depending on the location, you might also want a towel, spare clothes, or comfy shoes. Props can add a nice twist too—color powder, smoke bombs, flowers—whatever fits your story. I’ll help guide you through everything we might need based on the session plan.

Why do couples choose a Trash the Dress session?

Because it’s a chance to create something truly different. Without the pressure of the wedding day, you can just enjoy yourselves and be creative. Couples love the idea of doing something wild, personal, or meaningful—and the result is always a set of bold, emotional photos and memories to match.

How long does a Trash the Dress shoot last?

Most sessions last around 1–2 hours, depending on the location and what we’re doing. The atmosphere is relaxed and I’ll guide you when needed, especially after capturing some natural moments first. It’s all about having fun while getting photos you’ll love.

What if the weather is bad?

Bad weather can be magic in photos—rain, mist, or fog often adds emotion and atmosphere. But your comfort matters most. If you'd rather wait for clear skies, we can reschedule. We’ll always go with what feels right for you.

We’re camera-shy. Is Trash the Dress still for us?

Absolutely. These sessions are relaxed and informal, with no pressure to perform. I’ll give gentle direction when needed but mostly let you be yourselves. That’s when the best photos happen—when you’re just enjoying the moment together.

How much does a Trash the Dress session cost?

Each session is unique, so pricing depends on the location, time, and concept. As a baseline, you can expect a minimum of €300 for a 2-hour session. We'll chat beforehand to create a plan that fits your ideas and your budget.
